Excel

Excel is Microsoft's world famous worksheet (spreadsheet) application. Technically speaking, a worksheet is but a single document inside a workbook but we often use the terms worksheet, spreadsheet and workbook interchangeably. Worksheets contain numerical information presented in tabular row and column format with text that labels the data. They can also contain graphical content and charts. Excel features calculation, graphing tools, pivot tables and a macro programming language called VBA (Visual Basic for Applications). Excel forms part of Microsoft Office. Excel allows you to:

  • Perform quick, effective comparisons from lists of data
  • Perform complex analysis from your desktop
  • Save time, streamline your work and increase your productivity

With Microsoft Excel you can analyse, manage and share information quickly and easily to make more informed decisions. With its intuitive user interface, rich data visualisation, and PivotTable views, professional looking and stylish charts are easier to create and use than ever before.
