A Few Websites to Get You Started Search Engine Math - from Search Engine Watch, teaches the basics to improve your results when using search engines. WebTeacher & Learn the Net are two sites that will get you started. They teach you all about exploring, searching, emailing, etc. How to Shop on the Internet - what you need to learn to stay safe and get what you paid for. Want to learn the lingo? Netlingo is a site that will explain all those mysterious terms. You can even keep a window open on your computer while you are using it to look up any terms you want to learn about - it's called The Pocket Dictionary. Want to search, but don't know what a search engine is and how to use it? Learn the Net has an interactive tutorial to get you started: click on The Interactive Search Engine Tutorial. Both of the web sites listed above get into searching as well. Search Engine Watch will also give you tons of information about the latest search engines.
