Task:  The Famous People in History Hall of Fame is currently developing its nomination list for inductees. You have been assigned the job of nominating a candidate for induction into the Hall of Fame.  It is your responsibility to nominate a person from the table below.  In order to nominate a candidate, it is your responsibility to research a potential candidate's contributions to the world from the links listed at the bottom of this Web page.  You must use at least two resources.  Submit nominations in the form of a biographical sketch audio-visual presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint persuading voters to elect your candidate.

Process:  Using Microsoft PowerPoint, create a minimum of  six (6) slides:  1.) a title slide listing the name of your nominee and your name, 2.) a biographical slide which includes a picture of your nominee, 3.) a timeline slide(s) which shows when in history your nominee lived, 4.) a slide(s) containing some of the important work or contributions of your nominee, 5.) a conclusion slide which should include persuasive information as to why your nominee should be included in the Hall of Fame, and 6.) a bibliography slide citing your resources.  Click here for instructions on how to cite your sources.

Mrs. Slonneger will introduce you to PowerPoint showing you how to insert new slides and give them the layout you wish.  You will also be taught how to insert pictures and/or sounds into your presentation.  You are responsible for preparing and presenting the final nomination presentation.
