Introduction

Using the links above, find information about the Northern, Western, or Eastern European country of your choice and then prepare a PowerPoint presentation so that you can share the information you find with your teacher and classmates.

The Process

Plan your trip. Use the storyboard (available here). (Download by right-clicking and choosing "Save Target As" - Also, print it as handouts, 3 slides per page to give students a great place to record their research.)  (Sample presentation available here.)

The World Factbook 2002

Now complete your presentation, including the following:

  1. Title slide:  
    Exploring _____________ __
    (type the name of the country)
    by
    Your Name
  2. Background - Short description of the country's history or how it came to be a country
  3. Flag - Flag description and a picture of the flag
  4. Capital - type a brief phrase about the capital
  5. Geography - Climate, terrain
  6. People - Population, ethnic groups, religions
  7. Government - Type, suffrage, administrative divisions
  8. How Far Is It? - Distance between your town and the capital of your country
  9. Sources - Cite your sources (Keep track of the sites you visit by adding them to your Favorites)

Extra slides can be added if you get done early - Choose the topic from the information you have researched.
